RESTON, Va. (May 24, 2016) – SOS International LLC (SOSi) has added David R. Shedd to its board of advisors. Shedd served in the U.S. government for nearly 33 years. Most recently, he served as Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) leading up to his retirement in February 2015.

Over the course of his career, Shedd also served as Deputy Director for Policy in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Intelligence Programs and Reform at the National Security Council.  He was posted in the U.S. Embassies in Costa Rica and Mexico for nearly 10 years and held a variety of senior management assignments within the CIA including Chief of Congressional Liaison.

“With our recent award of a contract supporting U.S. government counter-narcotics and counter-trafficking operations, David’s experience in the intelligence community and Latin America closely align with our expansion objectives over the next several years,” said Julian Setian, SOSi president and CEO. “We’re very excited to have him on our team.”

SOSi’s board of advisors is comprised of leaders from the business, defense and government sectors. It provides the company with strategic advice on matters of leadership, growth and governance.
